Come to the Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center, Howell, and have some fun making a fish print or paper fish craft. Then, help us feed the fish in our pond.

Come out to Huber Woods, Middletown, and discover fascinating facts about many of the critters that share Monmouth County with us through live animals, taxidermy, and other artifacts. Weather permitting, we will meet in the picnic area. If the weather is bad, we will meet in the Environmental Center. While there, ask about our Safari Backpacks! FREE

 

Celebrate Independence Day
Saturday thru Monday, July 2,3 & 4, 1-4pm
 Historic Walnford, Walnford Road, Upper Freehold
 
Read the Declaration, write your name with a quill pen, tour the Waln's colonial home, dress up in the fashions of 1776 and imagine life in early America as we celebrate our nation's 235th birthday at Historic Walnford.

 

Boat Tours at the Manasquan Reservoir  
Friday, July 1, 730pm & Saturday thru Monday, July 3, 4 & 5 at 1, 2, 3 & 4pm
Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center, Georgia Tavern Road, Howell
 
Departing from the Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center, this 45-minute guided tour takes visitors around the reservoir and allows them to look for osprey, great blue herons, bald eagles and more. Tours are offered on a first come, first served basis. The cost is $5.50 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. Cash or check only. Call (732) 751-9453 for more information.

 

Independence Day Celebration
Monday, July 4, 12-3pm
Historic Longstreet Farm, Longstreet Road, Holmdel
 
Independence Day was a festive time in the 1890s. Patriotism was celebrated with music, games and good picnic food. Join the staff at Historic Longstreet Farm as they celebrate the holiday with games and contests.

Freehold: A July 4th reading of the Declaration of Independence will take place on the steps of Borough Hall at 9 a.m. Monday. Residents interested in reading a portion of the document are asked to gather at 8:30 a.m. and will be provided with a copy of the Declaration.

Keansburg: Fireworks, dusk; Keansburg Amusement Park, 732-795-1400.

Sunrise Yoga on the Beach

 

Once again Eastpointe Health & Fitness invites you to relax your mind, body & spirit while enjoying the beauty of our local beaches. The Sunrise Yoga workshop will be offered again this year for summer at the Sea Bright Public Anchorage beach, just south of Surf Rider Beach Club.

If you enjoy yoga and are looking for a refreshing change for the season take advantage of the workshops.

Classes begin in July on Thursday mornings at 7am with Lindsey or on Saturday mornings at 7am with Tatiana.

$99* member rate for one 8 week session with a choice of day (either Thursday or Saturday)

Session Dates
• Thursdays, July 7th through August 25th
• Saturdays, July 9th through August 27th
