SEA BRIGHT — Friday's snowstorm passed through hurricane-battered Sea Bright without flooding any homes, leaving only piles of snow and several large street puddles.
But that didn't mean local residents weren't on edge.
As high tide came and went earlier this morning, the Shrewsbury River came uncomfortably close to some houses, Mayor Dina Long said.
"It was pretty scary," she said.
Some flooding did occur Friday night, as portions of Ocean Avenue and roads near the river were under a few inches of water during high tide.
